Hi there!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by my ‘all about me’ page.

Clearly, we’re like-minded souls. We love to explore new places, meet new faces, open our minds and expand our hearts.

We all have our travel modes and traditions. I blend the epic with the intimate, starting off with a few ‘tick-list’ experiences, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris or Angkor Wat in Cambodia. These are really very damn famous for good reason and should be acknowledged. I disdain queues, but if it’s taking me on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, then I’ll tolerate it to avoid traveller’s regret once I return home.

Once I’ve placated my FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out); I’ll switch to “second street back” traveller mode. I love to step away from the tourist hubs and discover the streets where the locals gather. I’ll clock up tens of thousands of steps, weaving in and around local streets, stopping off in cafes and food markets, watching people and absorbing the vibe of a community.

I seek out the distinctly local delights that encapsulate a destination’s essence and share them with others through writing and photography.

My very-wordy blog is accompanied by my photos and videos on Instagram:
Dusty Cowgirl Discoveries. . Please, head over, check it out and follow so that you experience both sides of my travel ‘postcards’.

I’m always keen to receive travel tips, so if you have any, send ‘em through. Also, if you’re in the travel/hospitality business and you’d like to collaborate on some quality content, hit me up.

May you have fun and safe travels xxx
